Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy announced on Thursday that the JD(S) will not give party tickets to those leaders who had betrayed the party and joined the BJP under ‘Operation Kamala’.

Speaking to reporters, Kumaraswamy made it clear that his party would have no truck with any other party. The JD(S) would contest all 224 seats, he said, adding that candidates had already been finalised for 140 seats. There was a lot of competition for the other constituencies from aspirants and candidates would be chosen for these seats after taking the feedback from the party workers and leaders, he said.He said the BJP government had gone into a coma due to the statements of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa that he would launch a new party in December. With officials not taking orders from ministers, the people were left high and dry, Kumaraswamy said. The former chief minister said the party would teach both the BJP and the Congress a lesson in the elections, as both were corrupt parties
